Born and raised in New York City, Alverlis now serves the Catholic Church as a worship leader, guitarist, singer songwriter and a proud mother and wife. Music was always a very natural part of her life as her father was also a singer songwriter. After having a personal encounter with the Lord as a teenager, she picked up a guitar and began teaching herself and quickly discovered her joy for songwriting. Alverlis has also worked with local religious communities such as the Sisters of Life and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal where she routinely led worship for the Adoration services at Catholic Underground NYC. Alverlis hopes her music leads the hearts of both believers and non-believers into a place of complete surrender and worship.
